Q. Why are some pistachios red in color?
A. In the past, pistachio shells were dyed red (or white) to cover blemishes, which are darker than the natural, light beige color of the shell. Many of the shells received injuries while being grown, harvested, and processed, and the red dye covered up the blemishes, making the nut look more appealing to the consumer. Modern farming techniques have greatly reduced the need for dyes, although they are still used by some producers. Señor's California Pistachios are of the highest quality, delivered to you in their natural state, with no artificial coloring of any kind.

Q. I would like to have a gift card enclosed with my order. Can you do this?
A. Yes. Each of our products has a "Gift Card Message" box on it's description page. Just enter your greeting (i.e. "Happy birthday from Mike and Cathy") in the box, and we'll take care of the rest.

Q. I want to place my order now, with a delivery date in the future. How do I indicate this?
A. When you "Checkout", you will be presented with a series of four screens. On the second screen, there is a box titled "Is there a message with this order?". Enter a message in this box (i.e. "Please deliver my order during the week of December 14"), and we'll schedule your delivery date accordingly.

Q. When will my credit card be charged?
A. Your credit card will be charged on the day that your order is shipped. If your credit card is rejected for any reason we will e-mail you a notice and cancel your order.

Q. What about S&H charges?
A. The prices listed include all shipping and handling charges to anywhere in the continental United States For shipments to other locations, please contact our Sales Department at the toll-free number displayed above.

Q. How will I know that you received my order?
A. Our system will automatically send you a confirmation via e-mail a few moments after you have placed your order. It is important that you enter your correct e-mail address in the space provided on the order form.

Q. What happens when an item I've ordered is out of stock?
A. It is possible that an item for which there is an overwhelming demand will temporarily be out of stock. If this occurs, we will ship your order to you as soon as possible, usually not more than two weeks. We will keep you informed of the status of any backordered items via e-mail.

Q. Do you accept international orders?
A. At this time we are only accepting Internet orders for delivery within the continental United States. For international orders, as well as shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, please contact our Sales Department at the toll-free number displayed above.

Q. If I order an item, will I be added to your mailing list?
A. No. The only e-mail you will receive from us will be what is necessary to process your order. Usually, this is a single message to confirm your order.

Q. When I order a gift to be sent to someone else, will you enclose a catalog of your products and/or any pricing information with the order?
A. No. We do not include sales materials of any kind with gifts sent to someone other than you, the customer.
